Finally time to put this restaurant on this site. Because this is place is my second home, at least almost…. coming here minimum of once a week and even 5 times in bad (or good) weeks, I can say I love to come here from the first time I came here 4 years ago. Of course it will be a slightly colored review but I will try to be as independent as possible…
The reason why I like this place is that it always is warm and cozy, it is a mix between a modern style restaurant and an old golf club house. There is a typical influence of golf (Old Birdy) as well as some art and modern touches. Nice fire place and beautiful brass bar makes it good just to hang out or to eat dinner.
The kitchen has got a strong Italian influence, but the chef is not Italian, maybe something from the past? They always have a strong suggestion menu as well as a traditional menu that I think has been the same for the past 4 years (maybe time to change some things?).
There are some Belgian classics such as spare-ribs, steak tartare, vol-au-vent or half a chicken as well as Italian options as Pizza’s, Scalloppina Parmigano, Tournedos Pizzaiola or pasta.
The staff is always nice and friendly and give a quick and correct service, they reserved us a nice table and brought us our menu’s.
Since I have had almost everything on there I knew already what I wanted today…

Always fresh and a nice piece of meat over here, beautiful medium-rare baked and a good sauce on the side. My Gorgonzola was not so strong, which I think is a good thing and the sauce was delightful. The salad is a bit cliche, but good nevertheless. The Pizzaiola of my wife was even better, uncomplicated and natural suace, like they do it in Italy.
Fresh fries (always important), on the side finished a good midweek dish.
Overall as I said, I like coming here also besides the restaurant part. The could do with some new dishes or at least some fish for the main course and most of the kitchen is typical Belgian cuisine. As long as the quality stays like this there is no problem, however if anything changes on the quality of the food or the kitchen this menu will not survive….
