Today I had a day for some sightseeing in Tokyo, doing the full city in 1 day, it was quiet a challenge and it got me starving at lunchtime! Today I travelled 36 km. of which 23 km. on foot…(!). One of the highlights was the Tokyo Skytree, but before entering my foodie eye spotted this restaurant just nearby. Especially the big Wagyu banner outside made me very curious…And as most of my readers know by now, I hardly post any lunch except when it is really remarkable. And trust me, it was!!! Look ’em up at their FB site (no website found).

What do they offer, and what did I eat…? Wagyu / Kobe….what else? And it was AMAZING !!
Looking at the menu, which was impossible to read, you see so may types of this amazing cow type (Wagyu is the name of the cow/beef cattle) So the exact type I had could be any of the following types: Matsusaka beef, Kobe beef, Yonezawa beef, Mishima beef, Ōmi beef and Sanda beef.
In this particular BBQ restaurant you get a table grill and you prepare the thinly sliced beef yourself. Next to is came Miso soup (what else?) and some typical salads both sweet& sour and one more spicy.
Points:
Food: To be honest I have no words, just HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!! I have had many beef in my life and also different types of Wagyu but after this experience I finally understand why people are this crazy about this cow, it was so different than any other experience ever before. It was marbled with butter I think, so soft, smooth, full of taste, I latterly almost started crying when tasting the first bite! And the quickly dipped into the soy-sesame you just had to close your eyes and understand what good food is all about. Even though I had surgery 6 months ago and should not be able to eat a lot anymore….I ordered a second round of a different type of Wagyu, even more heavenly than the first batch! This is what I do it for, finding a small local restaurant, going there all alone and experience such remarkable tastings and quality. Just simple, for me definite 10 out of 10 (!)
Coziness: Maybe not the most warm or modern or remarkable location but with that food I could have sat on a cactus and still do not care…. seats were hard and lighting was basic, but still, who gives a f***. 8 out of 10
Staff: Warm, friendly, English speaking, which also is remarkable, great service, quick help just perfect for this type of restaurant. 9 out of 10
Price: HAHAHAHAHA This was unbelievable, in total around 12 euro and the second batch was like 9 euro…. For me the cheapest way to ever to eat such great meat! 10 out of 10
Overall a 9.3 out of 10 (and for the total experience a strong 10 out of 10)
